The Season of Giving
Once again December has crept up on us and within the blink of an eye, we will be in the new year. Like everyone else, I reflect back on the year and review events from both my personal life and my clinic life. As always I am grateful for the patients, friends and family that helped fill my life with meaning. Thank you for being a part of that.
One event that has stuck in my mind, and I would assume the minds of many of us transplants from NY, NJ and surrounding areas was the devastation caused by hurricane Sandy. Watching the news show places that hold special meaning to me in nearly unrecognizable conditions, really darkened my spirit. While I had made several smaller donations to different organizations, I still feel like I could do more. I have decided that since this time of year is generally regarded as the season of giving I will be donating a percentage of the funds I collect from each treatment to the Red Cross, to help with ongoing relief and cleanup efforts. If you have an appointment this month, or have been in anytime between Dec.1 and now, consider yourself a donor.
If you can’t make it in before we go on holiday break, you can always go to http://www.redcross.org/hurricane-sandy and donate there, or donate a quick $10 by texting REDCROSS to 90999.
As this year winds down, I hope our clinic has helped you in some way. As with any business, we are constantly trying to revise and fine tune our operations and I am hopefully that this upcoming year we will be in an even better position serve you. Please look for some great changes in the new year!
