Finally up on Amazon and Barnes & Noble!

I had sat down to write a book inspired by the utter panic of the bird flu.  Certainly there were plenty of things that one could do if they did get ill to help themselves recover, right? Oriental medicine was a rich source of therapies that could be applied at home with minimal training and supplies.  So, what was all the panic about?  Then I remembered a statement that has been uttered between health care practitioners in the halls of most clinics, hospitals and schools around the country, ” The patients don’t read the text book”.  Normally, this statement is reserved for when the patient’s symptoms do not match  what the text book would list for a particular disease.  It is a reference to medicine being more of an art than a science at times.  However, in this case I thought of this statement to mean that most people did not go to school for four years to learn these techniques, so how would they know about them.  This lack of exposure to these simple techniques is compounded with the fact that, while in the east you could see people practicing them pretty much anywhere, here in the west they looked foreign or out of place.
It is my hope that this book will serve to help guide those without experience with these simple, but powerful techniques to help heal themselves when they are sick.  I am pleased to announce that my book, You Got Sick – Now What?,  is now for sale at the publisher’s website, iUniverse, as well as Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
