    Acupuncture in the news

Acupuncture featured in the news a lot last month, so I thought I would share some of the reasons why.

    • A news report in Seattle states that more women are turning to cosmetic acupuncture instead of surgery for facial rejuvenation. It’s chemical free and more relaxing.
    • At a Cleveland clinic MRIs have shown that acupuncture influences levels of dopamine and seratonin to reduce symptoms of depression.
    • Cats and dogs in a clinic in Florida are being routinely treated with acupuncture for injuries and many other ailments.
    • Oncologists in New York say acupuncture helps give relief to men suffering from hot flashes sometimes caused by hormone therapy used for prostrate cancer treatment.
    • Soliders fighting in Afghanistan receive acupuncture for concussions, insomnia and other conditions.
    • A new study in Hong Kong shows acupuncture plus glasses may help kids get over lazy eye conditions.
    • In LA Australian born actress Theresa Palmer has acupuncture therapy after getting a cut on her knee rollerblading.
