Acupuncture featured in the news a lot last month, so I thought I would share some of the reasons why.
- A news report in Seattle states that more women are turning to cosmetic acupuncture instead of surgery for facial rejuvenation. It’s chemical free and more relaxing.
- At a Cleveland clinic MRIs have shown that acupuncture influences levels of dopamine and seratonin to reduce symptoms of depression.
- Cats and dogs in a clinic in Florida are being routinely treated with acupuncture for injuries and many other ailments.
- Oncologists in New York say acupuncture helps give relief to men suffering from hot flashes sometimes caused by hormone therapy used for prostrate cancer treatment.
- Soliders fighting in Afghanistan receive acupuncture for concussions, insomnia and other conditions.
- A new study in Hong Kong shows acupuncture plus glasses may help kids get over lazy eye conditions.
- In LA Australian born actress Theresa Palmer has acupuncture therapy after getting a cut on her knee rollerblading.
