Is your fire burning brightly or fizzling out?
Late Summer is almost upon us so lets take a look at how our heart fire qi has been doing.
If fire is your key element, you are a person who loves to be with people and you cherish your relationships. You are full of energy, you are passionate, optimistic, love to laugh and enjoy life. Physically you may have a long neck, delicate features and long, flexible fingers.
When fire qi is in excess it can cause skin eruptions and rashes, restlessness, agitation, mood swings and disturbing dreams. You may have heart palpitations, angina, an erratic pulse or irregular heart beat. You may laugh inappropriately and your thoughts may be irrational. There is a tendency to overheat and perspire in excess. Your speech may become strained, rapid or hoarse.
If there is a deficiency, breathing may become shallow or you may even have a tendency to hold your breath. If you get nervous or excited, you may be light headed. Sexual energy may be depressed and your blood pressure low. You may seek constant approval of and acceptance by others. Your judgment in relationships becomes poor and others see you as being emotionally unstable. You may be forgetful, have difficulty concentrating or thinking logically.
To encourage heart fire qi to rebalance, try simple arm circles (three, wide, in both directions) before going to bed. Take an early morning walk to gain nourishment from the sun’s yang energy. Eat lightly steamed vegetables and fresh juicy fruits. Forget the ice! Smile and breathe deeply!
