    Did you know?

The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine (Han Dynasty 206 BCE – 25 CE) describes how the four cornerstones of Traditional Chinese Medicine were developed according to the geographical regions of China.
    • The South, with its warmer climate, was ideal for growing plants and providing herbal remedies.
    • The cold North encouraged the heat of moxibustion for acupuncture points.
    • The predominant diet in the East was fish and salt, and stomach ulcers were a common problem. This condition was successfully treated by acupuncture in the form of stone flint needling.
    • Massage, breathing and qigong were born in the Central part of China.
In this way the ”go with the flow” principle of the Tao, on which TCM was based, was adhered to.
