    Acupressure for menstrual cramping

The following technique is relatively simple and very beneficial for pain and cramps during menstruation. An important point in acupuncture, Sp 6 (san yin jiao) is located where the three main yin meridians involved in the reproductive system cross: liver, kidneys and spleen. It is located four finger widths above the inner anklebone, close to the back of the shinbone.
Sitting comfortably, place each thumb on the inside of the ankle, four finger widths above the protrusion of the inner anklebone. Gently rub along the inner side of the shinbone until you find a slight indentation. If you are experiencing PMS or cramps, this point is likely to be very tender. Hold gently for about a minute, while breathing deeply.
