Acupuncture Coverage For Medicare and Federal Employees

Medicare and Acupuncture: Every week I receive at least one phone call asking if I accept medicare. Please understand that Medicare does not cover acupuncture. I wish it did, I understand that the costs of treatment, even at a very discounted rate may be too much for someone on a fixed budget. A bill has been in Congress for years now which would extend acupuncture benefits to medicare and federal employee patients. For those of you who do not have medicare, but your insurance still does not offer acupuncture benefits, supporting this bill might lead to your insurance plans including it as well. ***Important Update: This bill is really gaining speed! To help out please go to rallycongress.com\aaaom and follow the prompts to let congress know how you feel. It is automated and takes less than a minute. ***
