Cupping Therapy for Massage Therapists
May 15, 2010 1-4pm
@
Ancient Arts Wellness
This class will be taught by Tom Ingegno M.S.O.M., L.Ac., who has been practicing and teaching Oriental Medical Techniques for nearly 10 years. You will learn fire cupping techniques that are immediately useful in your clinical practice. Cupping has been part of the rich history of folk medicine for well over 2000 years. Cupping therapy can be applied safely and quickly to even stubborn conditions to allow you to quickly ease pain and symptoms of colds and flus. This will help you stand out from the crowd of other practitioners and save your hands, wrists and upper backs from being overworked. In this seminar you will learn: a brief history of cupping, the different types of therapeutic cups (suction vs. fire); the different methods of cupping (static vs. sliding); when to use cupping; and of course how to apply cupping therapy (there will be plenty of hands-on practice)
Space is limited to 12 people ensure each practitioner has plenty of practice.

Time: Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 1pm to 4pm

I’d like to wish you safe and Happy New Year! I would like to also thank you all for your support over the last year at our new location. It’s been quite a busy year both in my practice and my family life. I would like to announce that my daughter Chloe Noelle Ingegno was born on 12/22/09! As you can imagine I’m extremely excited and feel blessed to have her in my life. I will have pictures at the office soon.
I’m expecting 2010 to be an even busier year and much of it has to do with having great patients like you. Please be on the look out for new videos on youtube.com with some Oriental Medical techniques for home use. I am also hoping to have an iPhone acupressure app developed in the next few months as well as a book about home Oriental Medicine home remedies to help fight off the cold and flu (this should have been out months ago, but will probably be ready by next flu season). I am also looking into hosting small seminars at the office promoting some techniques like moxibustion and cupping for patients to do at home. All of these things are in line with the old adage, “If you teach a man to fish…”
Also, I know that many people make New Year’s resolutions and are disappointed in themselves when they can’t follow through. I urge anyone who is planning on making a resolution to make it small, and attainable. This will help you move on to even bigger and better things. I will be running a discount on my “Stop Smoking Protocol” for anyone wishing to make that a resolution; so if you know anyone please pass that along. I’ll be emailing a coupon out the first full week of January.
Once again I’d like to say Happy New Year and thank you for allowing me to serve you. If you need anything feel free to contact me. Thank you.
Wishing you Abundance in the New Year,
Tom Ingegno M.S.O.M., L.Ac.
